Ocotillo macro

Taken with the camera lens on macro, the focus of this spiny branch barely waving in the breeze had to be taken with patience and precision. Looking closer, you can see the pinks, browns and other colors the fearless ocotillo sports at the base of each spine it brandishes on a stem that looks just like this as it reaches from the ground to as much as a ten foot length. Don't stand close when it's windy.
